Oxleas Dockers Shortlisted for Forensic Services Team of the Year Award!
We are delighted to announce that Oxleas Dockers, the Mental Health team led by both Erith Town FC and the Oxleas NHS Foundation, has made the shortlist for the Forensic Services Team of the Year at the Oxleas Recognition Awards 2024.
Led by our Under-23s manager, Marc Petters, the well-deserved nomination follows a year of tremendous dedication and determination to get a Mental Health football team established at Erith Town, as we strive with our community work in the local area.
Speaking of the nomination, Marc said, “It’s a massive honour and I’d like to massive thank you to Mark Baker from Oxleas, who I have been working alongside. The work Mark does is absolutely fantastic and to go from where we were when we started in March, to where we are now when we made the last four of a knockout tournament is so inspiring for me. The players who come along for the team also need to take huge credit, as they are the one who go out on the pitch for us, and the commitment they put in at training is second to none. They take onboard the drills, the session as a whole and just the enthusiasm they have is infectious and I couldn’t be prouder of them. I’d also like to say a final thank you to all those who help behind the scenes; our club and Oxleas themselves, we wouldn’t be able to be where we are without them!”
