Tommy Crush Foundation become a Matchday Sponsor
Following our recent U23s & U18s charity match against Glebe U18s which raised money to support teenagers vulnerable to suicide, Erith Town is delighted to welcome back to Stanmore Stadium today’s match sponsors, The Tommy Crush Foundation whose aim is to raise the necessary funds and awareness to try and change the outcome for a young person who may be suffering in silence and to stop another family losing a son, daughter, brother or sister.
For those that don’t know, Tommy was a happy, fun, smart, handsome boy who had lots of friends and who was loved. He was not someone who looked lost, anxious, depressed or sad. This is why we need to raise awareness and show people that it’s not what is on the outside we should take care of, it’s what’s going on on the inside that matters, the bit we can’t see.
The foundation are currently in the process of delivering specific mental health awareness training within the grassroots community, most recently working with over 40 coaches at Charlton Community Trust, and over the coming months they will be delivering the same to the London City Lionesses.
Every penny raised, every kind word, every act of love and just knowing someone out there can help, and will mean Tommy will not have left this world in vain.
