New First Team Management In Place
The new first team management are now firmly in place and ready for the rest of the season ahead.
Most of you will already know the new First Team Manager, Aaron Jeffery, as one of the senior players in the squad, a tough, battling midfielder who has always brought the fighting qualities this team needs to compete but also brings a bit of nouse and know-how to our game management so we can see out results. We’re all very happy to see Aaron step up to the key role and see how he gets to grips with things.
Stepping up alongside him is another senior player we will all know in the shape of Calum McGeehan. A central defender most of the time, he also has the versatility to play further forward into midfield when needed, and has even gone up front at times when his height has given us a target that can hold the ball up and bring others into play. Calum will be taking on the role of First Team Assistant Manager/Player so we will be seeing him in the dugout as well as continuing his work on the pitch.
Joining these two is new First Team Coach Jason Long. Jason will be taking over the role from Anthony Gradley who has departed the club to look for a new challenge, and while we all wish him well wherever he ends up, we’re also very excited to see what Jason can bring to the role and watch the first team develop under his tutelage.
Retaining their roles at the club will be Russell Bedford as First team Assistant Manager, Wayne Foreman as Goalkeeping Coach, and Georgia Brookes as First Team Physio.
I’m sure you will all join me in wish the whole team nothing but the best for the season ahead.
