Erith Town Under 23s Manager, Marc Petters

Marc Petters Announced as Erith Town Under-23 Manager

Erith Town FC are delighted to announce that for the remainder of the 2023/24 season and going forward, Under-18 manager, Marc Petters will be the new manager for our Under-23 development team. Marc will be assisted by Jamie Wood together with goalkeeping coach Wayne Foreman and First Team player, Jerome Jayaguru.

Since joining the club with the Kent Youth League (KYL) Under-18’s squad, Marc has quickly shown his quality in the KYL Premier Division and cup competitions, and it is for this reason that Marc has been promoted from his current role to head the development team at the Stanmore Stadium.

Speaking to Erith Town TV at the time of his appointment, Marc said, “This club could go so many places, so I didn’t really hesitate… definitely want to get involved, I want to try and help out. I want to help the U23s, help the First Team out and support them and push on my under-18s too.  So, it was a bit of a no brainer really!  For me, I’m passionate about the youth and I think that’s got to be the future of this club, so I want to make it a club to keep the pathway going really.  For me, it’s not just about under-18s feeding into the under-23s feeding into the First Team… you’ve got to show people there’s a genuine pathway.”

Along with managing the Under-23s in the SCEFL Development League West, Marc will also be continuing to manage the U18s in the KYL, as well as assisting the club with their fantastic new Pathways initiative, which will see an increase in the volume and playing level of the youth teams at Erith Town from the start of the 2024/25 campaign.
