Erith Town Teams Pay Respects for Remembrance Sunday

Remembrance Sunday - impeccably observed.

The weekend of the 11th and 12th November saw all Erith Town sides, across first team, our youth and junior teams take part in fixtures that saw some brilliant football along with plenty of hard work and determination from all the sides playing in the red and black!

Along with representing Erith Town Youth and the club superbly on the football field, our junior and mini-Dockers of all levels were exemplary in their respect before the game, when the two minute silence for Remembrance Sunday was sounded by the referee prior to kick-off.

First up, was our two youngest teams, Erith Town Black and Erith Town Red, who took locked horns with Kent Football United and On Target Soccer FC.  Both sides gave everything in the mud and cold weather and were an absolute credit to The Dockers management.  The Erith Town U15 side were narrowly defeated 2-1 by Ajax SE and our U14 team finished up all square after a 2-2 draw with Danson Sports FC.

Along with these above fantastic performances, we were delighted to see our Under-18 team progress to the next round of the London Cup after a dramatic 3-2 win over Cheshunt on Sunday 5th November.  Three outstanding goals and some excellent defensive work saw the Under-18 Dockers make it through, and we could not be prouder of them!
