James Miles Departs
Erith Town Football Club can today announce the departure of James Miles, ‘Milo’ at the end of the 2024/25 season.
Signing for The Dockers back in 2021, Milo’s debut came against Chatham Town and his first goal for Erith Town came against FC Elmstead in a cup game.
Milo quickly became a fan favourite during his time at the club, and was always one who gave 100% in every game he played home or away. A vital part of our historic 2023/24 treble winning team, it was Milo’s penalty against Corinthian in the SCEFL Challenge Cup penalty shoot out which secured The Dockers their first piece of silverware in 13 years, and he also featured in the Kent Senior Trophy win over Croydon FC and the SCEFL Premier Division Play-Off win against Corinthian FC, again scoring a penalty in our penalty shoot out win over Corinthian.
Speaking of Milo’s departure, first team manager, Adam Woodward said, “We are very disappointed to lose Milo, someone who has played over 150 games for us since he joined Erith Town. Milo is another player who has progressed well with us, and leaves us a better player than when he joined. Milo scored some crucial goals in high pressure moments for us, and he has had an offer which best suits him at this present time and was too good to turn down. We have to respect that, however frustrating it is for us as a club, and we want to wish him the best of luck going forward.”
In all James Miles featured in 151 games for The Dockers, scoring 17 goals. Everyone at Erith Town would like to wish Milo the very best of luck, and he will always be welcome at the club. You will be missed!
